The Utility Room Renovation ( Part Two)

I say it often, but I really can't believe how talented my husband is.  The utility room is almost finished and it really is a transformation.
Starting life as an outside loo and coal shed (see the first post HERE ) he has transformed the space beyond recognition.  Following on from the first post the next job was to lay the floor tiles.

We went for these slate grey Cuba ceramic tiles from Homebase, great value and quality.

After laying the floor Nigel built the frame for the boiler. We decided it would be better to box the boiler in because of the ugly pipes below.

After fixing the frames to the walls  Nigel was able to start putting up the cladding.

Looking a little like a sauna at this stage.

Cladding finished and toilet installed.  Time to start painting, white of course.

First coat of paint, its all starting to take shape. How did that loo roll get there ?  Can't you tell my husband took all these picture !

We decided to block off the original doorway into what was the coalshed (old boiler room) and make a space for the washing machine with a drying/storage space above.

That's all for now.....

Final part coming soon.
