We had VERY limited funds, six month old twins and a ten year old who was not impressed to swop his large bedroom for a smelly box room with flowers on the wallpaper.
This is the story of the journey we have taken over those seven years, renovating our home as funds, energy and ideas allowed. We are almost finished, although I dream of one day being able to afford a conservatory and being able to knock down the wall between the kitchen and dining/my work space to make one big glorious family room.

DeleteWe are doing the same have downsized and are renovating on a limited budget. I feel for you as its hard leaving behind a house you love. The hard work is worth it though you must be pleased with what you have achieved. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Catherine, it has been hard and when you are used to just buying what you want or paying somebody to do it for you, having to wait and do it slowly can be really hard but I will say we have found many ingenious solutions that we would never have known had we still had money xx
DeleteHope your home is coming along well xx
