I was lucky enough to recently be sent the Habitat Jerry chair and Habitat Birchbox to review. Having been around for a few years
I am in a position to remember when the iconic store Habitat with its leading designs dominated the high street. Although its now sadly gone, its great to see it still has an online presence and also collaborations with brands like Birchbox and Homebase.
The Jerry Chair is moulded white plastic with solid beech legs and an added bonus of a seat pad. It was not delivered assembled but was quickly and easily put together .
I love the style of the legs. The solid pale beech wood is both beautiful and sturdy. Certainly strong enough to stand up to my houseful of men !
The soft upholstered seat pad is a real bonus as these moulded chairs can often be cold and hard to sit on. Its designed to be a dining chair, but to be honest we have so far had it at the dining table, where it looks wonderful with my other chairs, in the living room as a chair for use at the computer for one of the twins (who gives it the thumbs up for comfort) and in the twins bedroom at their desk where homework is purportedly carried out. I'd definitely recommend it as a stylish dining chair but also equally as useful if you just buy one as an occasional chair for use throughout the home.
Arriving just in time for Mothers Day, I was tickled pink to open and see the contents of this box. I'm really not a girly girl when it comes to spending time or money on myself but this little box of treats was a delight.
The Birchbox is a monthly box of luxury beauty and lifestyle samples (I think) to be honest I went on the website after receiving my sample box and unless I am being a bit old and lame, I couldn't see how it actually works even after reading the "How it works" tab on the site. I am assuming you get sent a selection of the sample goodies for that month and if you like then you go back to the website and buy the full size products ? Please feel free to enlighten me on that one.
My box just happened to be a partnership with Habitat who are launching their new SS15 collection of dressing tables and beauty storage boxes. If you are a member and refer a friend in March, buy your products and use the promo code MYBEAUTYHABIT (clever that ) you will be in with a chance of winning an Emile Birch dressing table.
Included in the box was a 20% off voucher for Habitat so I'm off for a browse of the website.
Many thanks once again to Habitat for the gorgeous chair and Birchbox for the super samples that I fully intend to try out today and report back on.
