The quickest and easiest pick me up just has to be the scent of a quality candle, it also helps if it looks lovely too. Fortunately for me, the candle I was recently sent to review by the Cotswold Candle Co ticked both those boxes and some !
The Cotswold Candle Co is owned by Polly who, like me, has a slight obsession with candles. Finding the cost of her favourite luxury brand candles too high to continually buy, Polly set out to to make her own. Polly wanted a quality product with an amazing scent but at an affordable price, I certainly think she has achieved that. You can read Polly's story HERE
I chose the Sweet Pea fragrance and not just because the label colour fits in with my decor ! Sweet peas are one of my most favourite flowers so I was interested to see if Polly had captured the unique scent. The Cotswold Candle Co consists of a small range of classic scents Sweet Pea, White Mulberry (yep, nearly picked this one ) Rose and Cinnamon, Orange & Clove. The candles have a burn time of 35 hours and cost just £18 each which is fantastic value for money for a hand poured candle.
The candle arrived beautifully packaged. I do love a bit of quality packaging, I have bags and boxes stashed away in my home that I just can't bring myself to throw away, its all part of the experience. The candle is presented in a lovely glass votive and I particularly love the wooden wick. The sound of the wick as the candle burns is lovely, it crackles away like the sound of a tiny log fire !
As for the scent ! Ahh memories of beautiful old fashioned English gardens. The scent of Sweet Peas fills my home. So much so, the boys came down from their bedroom (unheard of on a Saturday) "whats that smell " "It smells like a girly garden "
My job here is done !
