Lessa Mattress update

In November last year we were very fortunate to be sent the Innovative new Leesa mattress to review.  You can read the original post HERE .   The post has continued to create a lot of interest with people leaving comments, emailing and asking questions on facebook and twitter.
After nine months I thought it was time for an update.  Buying a new mattress can be a very expensive purchase and does need some thought before making a commitment. There are many, many different mattresses to choose from and I don't know about you, but visiting a showroom and awkwardly lying on a bed in full view of other customers and salespeople is not the most comfortable feeling or the best way to make a decision on something so important.  One of the amazing benefits of the Leesa mattress is you can have it for 100 days to try in your own home and if its not for you, you can return it for a full refund. Any returned mattresses are then donated to charity.  How wonderful is that!

All the photos on this post were taken today.  You can see there is no change to the shape of the mattress.  I have found with my previous mattresses after time you tend to get "dips" where each person lies and a ridge forms in the centre of the mattress.  Although its only been nine months this has not happened yet.  The mattress' unique design means its springs back into shape when you get out of bed.  Please do read my original post for all the information on the design and components that make up the mattress or pop over to the Leesa website HERE

There has been no loss to the depth of the mattress.  It has a depth of 25cm made up of 15cm core support, 5cm contouring foam and 5cm cooling foam.  It has a top layer of Avena foam which is similar to latex but but is latex free so is also suitable for those with latex allergies.   The Leesa has all the benefits of a memory foam but you don't get that hot or sinking feeling when you lie on it.  For someone like me  (a lady of a certain age) this is a wonderful advantage and I continue to get the best sleep I have ever had.  It has to be said my husband and I may have put a few extra lbs on over the last few years ! And have both suffered from aches and pains in our backs and legs, especially when we first get up in the morning.  Sleeping on the Leesa has all but banished them.  We recently returned from a holiday in Spain and my husband was desperate to get back into his own bed as he spent most of the holiday complaining about the mattress on the hotel bed.

I really love the fact that the mattress has a cover, helps to protect and keep clean the mattress.  Its standing up well to the movement of bodies against sheets and has only a little piling.

If you prefer to see the real thing instead of photos please have a look at this little video I made ( apologies for the video format, I still haven't worked out how to take a video with an iphone so you get a full screen !) and if you have any questions about the Leesa please do not hesitate to leave a comment or email me at info@thewhiteapproach.com
