I came across the Scandinavian brand Lene Bjerre on Houseology recently and immediately fell in love with their classic design style.

Although I no longer paint or renovate furniture for a living, I still enjoy an occasional project.  When I saw two badly decoupaged wooden stools in a local Devon charity shop I knew they would be a quick and easy DIY painting project.

Returning to work in a "proper job" leaves me very little time these days to indulge my passion for bargain hunting and tracking down stylish affordable items for the home.  When I do find something and post it on my social media, I am often asked where or if it can be bought.

The trouble with having eleven year old twin boys is they no longer want to go anywhere in the school holidays.  Its a real trial trying to encourage them out of their bedroom and away from the computers and gadgets !  So I decided to take myself off yesterday for a bit of a mooch around the local charity shops in Heavitree and Topsham.

As the Bank holiday Easter weekend was mostly rained off, we managed to finish the makeover of the twins industrial style bedroom.

Its nearly Easter and that time of year when all good interior DIY decorating enthusiasts get out their tools !  With the promise of better weather and a long weekend off work, its a great time to finish off all those little jobs around the house or just give a room a freshen up.

The quickest and easiest pick me up just has to be the scent of a quality candle, it also helps if it looks lovely too.  Fortunately for me, the candle I was recently sent to review by the Cotswold Candle Co ticked both those boxes and some !
